Looking for help tracking down a carb

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can help me. We're trying to find a rebuild kit for the carb in the 74 Standard Bug. We know it's not stock. It was put on because they put high lift rockers on and needed a bigger carb to go with it. It's a double barrel progressive which MIGHT have come from a Ford Pinto (this is all from my father in law's memory of working on this ages ago). I looked at this one:

it doesn't seem to look like my pictures. Is there anyone out there willing to let me send them the 3 pictures I took and maybe figure out what this is so I know what rebuild kit to get? We don't want to change carbs, just rebuild this one.

Or anyone with any idea what this might be. Are there numbers I can look for on it?

Thanks in advance!

But it doesn't seem to look like my pictures.>=20

If you need temporary web space for the pictures, you can email them=20 to me and I'll put them up for you for a while.

Hi again all -

Olli gave me a good idea. I put the pics up on my webserver.

You can take a look at

On the first pic, near the bottom plate, you'll see a black oval. I circled that to show where the numbers are.

Thanks in advance for any help!

You have a similar carb that I have on my baja... I went through a lot of pain to get a kit for mine. I finally took the carb apart and took it to my local ACVW savvy parts store and he was able to determine that it was a Holley manufactured carb, to Weber specifications--er, something. If I remember correctly, I think it had "HOLLEY" stamped on the inside of the float bowl. I will try to find the box for the kit I finally located for it and see if that helps.

Good luck!!
