Just rebuilt a v8 Landrover and switched on the ignition for the first time and fuel is flowing straight out the carb (n/s)overflow. I have checked the float and float height, the return fuel line is ok and the needle appears to be working well (turn it upside down you cant blow thro it ) Any advice appreciated

Keep adjusting it and check the float isn't fouling the case, very critical.....and that the float floats too.

Make sure you don't have a high pressure fuel pump (eg off an EFI).
