The upper engine mount on my '02 V70 is broken (the rubber part). I did a little research and learned that this is a fairly common problem. Are there any preferred solutions?

Replacing it would seem like a good idea to me?
Duh? Yeah, but Volvo wants like $200 for the part. I've seen one place (IPD) that sells a rubber "grommet" for around $25 that replaces just the rubber part. I was looking for some opinions of the possible solutions.
IPD knows their stuff. You might also try FCP Groton,
The Upper Engine mount runs about $60.00 US and 1 Hour of labor @ whatever your volvo dealer is charging for us see the example Parts $60.00 Labor $110.00 Total $170.00 Tax $XX.XX
