I picked up a really clean one of these a month ago for cheap. It was real high miles, 207,000. Its running great. The guy who had it said they'd boiled some "carbon," out of the intake, not sure, or somewhere, that was common problem on these and replaced the entire spider[?] injection system. It runs hard and fast. Was there any common problems with this early Vortec that anyone can advise about? Thanks.

They didn't put Vortec's in blazers till 1992. You'd better check to see what engine you have. H
