Best/Worst Areas To Park At A Mall?

Parking at a big mall seems to offer many options: under a roof, out in the open, densely-used areas, sparsely-used areas, and so-forth.

Somebody with a more-stealable-than-most vehicle would want to pick a place where theft is less likely.

Seems like there has got tb data on this.

Has anybody read anything about which are the better/poorer choices of parking space at the typical mall?

People who commit crimes are not the brightest tools in the shed. They don't think about these things.

For example there is a Walmart in my area which has hundreds of cameras in the store and covering the entire outside area. Yet criminals choose that store to commit their crimes - and they always get caught. Then there is a nice video to prosecute them with.

The best thing would be a security system for your vehicle which would take brains to disable (which they do not have). Park in front of a security camera. Place valuables in trunk or out of sight. And get a Lojack system...

Some are, some aren't. Experienced thieves avoid bright lights and cameras.
