Our son has a 99 Silverado 5.3 Ext Cab. He had a meeting with an 18 wheeler that pushed him into a guard rail. No airbags deployed. That Silverado is one tough truck because he drove away with just considerable side damage. Will the repair facility access the black box and what information will be there? He has put approximately 1800 miles on the truck since the "accident". BTW, the trucker got a ticket.

Probably not since the bags didn't deploy. Make sure that ALL the airbag sensors are checked though.
the BB stores Brake/Accelerator info, vehicle speed, G force of impact.
