A co worker of mine has a 1995 Chevy Silverado regular cab with a V-8 that idles at 800rpm. He would like to know if this is normal. If not, what is the correct idle speed?

I have a 95 silverado, 350, when mine is warmed up in gear it idles itself down to 500
600 and 800 RPM
