Suburban K2500 4x4 A/C compressor

Feb 24, 2004 3 Replies

Wife says the ac isn't cooling, so I look under the hood to see if the compressor is turning. The compressor was cycling on/off every 3-5 seconds. Is this a normal thing if low on freon? Or could the problem be electrical? Any advice is appreciated.

That sounds pretty frequent. Take it to a reputable shop and have them check it. Over or undercharging just a tiny bit with R-134 will result in warm air - it's not as forgiving as R-12.

fast cycling is normally a sign of low freon.
