Truck dosent run good when warm

Hey Guys,



I have a friend with a 1987 GMC half ton.Its a 305 with TBI. Automatic tranny. The truck starts good and runs fine until the engine is warmed up, then it runs like crap. It wont idle in gear. Hesitates, and often stalls. But only when its warm.

A seat of the pants guess:

The distributor pick up and magnet.

Take the guess for what it's worth. Only an educated guess, due to many of these items failing.
