squealing heater fan '99 A6

Any 'easy' fixes for a squealing climate control fan for a '99 A6. It is intermittent currently. I can only assume it will get worse and it is a pain and/or expensive to replace. Thanx in advance. andy

Check for false air. In most cases it's not the fan.

Air sucked in via the pipe connections behind and under the dash. This may happen especially when on recirulation.
