i need to air out trunk. (had a kerosene spill in there.) i sparayed down with vinegar.then a good shampoo is next.. is there a way to leave trunk open overnight (garaged) without have the trunk light stay on?

If you can't find the switch and defeat it, then take out the bulb.
I kinda doubt that just the trunk light would seriously drain the battery overnight, anyway.
Leave the trunk open, the light turns off after about 15 minutes.
The interior lights turn off after 15 minutes. The car thinks a mistake has been made if the lights remain on that long, and it is smart enough to know that making a mistake worse by leaving the lights on until the battery dies is just stupid.
