Just purchased a '94 540i, in excellent condition inside and out. Have had it two weeks. Now am noticing vibrations and shaking of the steering wheel when stepping on brakes. Think it's probably the rotors. Any other thoughts?
Do the cheapest things first, make sure your wheels are balanced and rotors are true. If both are fine, then take a look at the suspension arms and bushings. For more, go to Bruno's excellent E34 website:
