Bleeding the coolant system

What exactly do you do to bleed the coolant system on a 1990 Chevy Silverado C1500 350 TBI????

Lots of options;

A flush "T" in the heater hose to the intake manifold works well. (cap loose or off while you fill the system)

Drilling a 3/32" hole in the flange of the thermostat works well.

Propping the thermostat open with an aspirin will work also. (use Advil if you're allergic to aspirin) ;-)

Temporarily removing the coolant temperature sensor works well.

The idea is to allow air to easily escape past the closed thermostat.
