My 2000GMC sierra doesn't shift into third until 33mph when outside temp is below 35degrees. GM says this helps the heater, but I hate it. Does anyone know how to disable/override this feature?
TIA ThreeJ

Install a block heater on the tranny pan?

When the outside temp is that low I'd put up with anything that minimal to help mine heat up.
How hard is it to install a block heater? How much can it help a carbureted engine?
