I live in northern manitoba canada. I currntly drive a 2002 duramax diesel. Around town it throws just enough heat to keep the windows clear.if I let it idle outside after running it for awhile and the temp gauge will go to zero. I have the GM complete winter front on.On the highway it throws good heat. The dealership up here tells it is just the way it because of the block. Are they pulling my leg????

Is your coolant system topped up to the proper amount? Heat will not be generated in the cab if the heater coil has no warm engine coolant flowing through it.
Good luck,
Blair
