ideas for third seat and seatbelt in 2001 G2500 van

Hi folks,

I want to put a third seat and seatbelt in my 2001 G2500 Chevy full sized work van. I'm wondering if anybody has any tidbits of info about how to do this. Specifically I'm wondering about hooking up seatbelts to existing mounting spots if possible. I haven't even looked under the rubber mat to see if there are mounting spots for seats.

I guess the easy answer is to look at salvage yards and copy what I find.

But perhaps you folks have done or seen other solutions, or know a really good website I should consult.

I suppose I could retire my 101,000 miles old driver's seat for the passenger and get myself something special.

Anyway, any ideas will be most appreciated.

Don't know if this will help but... I had a 3rd seat put in a 1990 Suburban in 1997 and I went to a guy who does interior work for dealers at an auto auction. They had to reinforce the floor and the seat belts are attached to the seat frame. If you already have the holes for seat belts, etc., it should be much easier. BTW he made a seat for me using a new seat frame assembly.
