Question about Chevy 1500 bucket seat adjustments (99-03)

I'm looking at eBay listings for seats. Some of the Chevy full-size pickup bucket seats (manual, not power) have adjustment knobs on the outer side of the seat bases near the front (ahead of the recline lever). It's a hefty knob with big grip notches molded in. I've seen them on both the driver's and passenger's seats. The ones I've seen say 99-03 application.

Are these for seat cushion height/tilt, or lumbar support, or what? If this isn't the lumbar adjustment, where is that?

Some of the seats have this knob, plus what I think is the the recline lever a little farther down and back on the base, and then another lever at the lower end of the seat back. I assume this additional lever is the release to tilt the seat forward. I'm looking for seats for another vehicle project and don't know the

1500 very well. Thanks for a quick response.

Hi!

The knob you're seeing is almost certainly the lumbar support knob. I haven't seen one in person, but there are some decent pictures of it in most of my Chevy truck manuals.

Looked at up close and personal it may say "lumbar" in circular printing on the middle of the knob.

Thanks! That seems to match with the way these seats are described. I just wasn't expecting the lumbar adjustment to be down there near the front of the base. All the manual lumbar adj. I've seen are on the seat backs themselves.
