Radio question for '95 Tahoe

I have a '95 Tahoe with the radio on the fritz. The radio in question is the factory Delco Theft-lock with a cassette player. It won't tune any radio stations or play the cassette. It does, however, control my 6-disc changer (Rockford-Fosgate (sp?)) without any problems. I would like to replace it with the Delco Theft-lock with single CD player (no need for cassettes anymore...it is the 21st century) and am wondering if that unit will still control my changer. It would be nice to have a standard 6 CDs loaded up with the option of playing some more obscure one's on demand. Does the back the CD version of this radio have the same hook-ups as the cassette version? Will the harness/adaptor in place for the changer fit into the back of the new unit and still be controlled when the stereo is in the Aux. mode?

Thanks in advance for any information you may have.

For what it's worth, depending on what you have to pay for an in dash AM/FM Delco CD player I went through 4 used ones and none of the CD players worked right. One was even out of a truck that was used only six months and then removed for an Alpine unit. I finally bought a Pioneer AM/FM CD player that fits right in the place of the factory LARGE Delco. No adapters and looks / sounds great. I also got a factory harness adapter so the wiring is clean. And it will also control your CD changer. By the way, your original question, I didn't see a way for the Delco units that I had to control a CD changer. They were the Theft Lock models ranging from 1999 to 2002 models.

I've seen a '99 Sonoma with a Delco radio and a stock 5 disc changer - remote changer.
