3 months ago my battery was dead so I put a new one in. 3 days later that

My guess would be a short somewhere or as simple as the overhead light being left on. Seems like the battery and alternator are working fine but the battery is being drained somehow. From what you mentioned, it seems to be drained only after sitting for a long period of time, such as overnight.

Do you have a multimeter that you can hook in the line from the battery to see if there is excessive current?. After hooking it up wait a minute to let the current settle down. It should be much less than one ampere.
