Hi-- We just purchased a 2004 Chevy Silverado 4 wheel drive pickup. The front tow hooks are recessed into the front bumper, not protruding like they used to be. Won't these recessed hooks pull the bumper off when put in a bind while pulling something sideways? Does anyone have any ideas on where to find longer hooks to replace these? Thanks for any help. LLL

It may not be reccomended that you "pull something sideways". Depends on how well GM set the frame up, if there's a crossmember right behind the bumper. If not, pulling something like you're suggesting will certainly pull the frame out of alignment.
