tranny yoke leak

Exactly what needs to be replaced to insure no leakage? What are the steps. From searches I'm sure i need to replace the rear seal. Anything else? What is the best way to remove the rear seal?

If she has a lot of mileage on her, the tail shaft bushing may need to be replaced. the seal just prys out like any other seal, and install with a soft faced hammer taping around the out side edge till flush. Lubricate the seal and the yoke before assembly. If there is a groove worn in the yoke replace it. If it has a two piece drive shaft make sure the center support bearing is in good condition. If the u-joints are original, now would be a good time to replace them while the shaft is out of the vehicle.
