Chrysler 300 selling well?

Chrylser ads in newpaper mostly $5k off list except for 300's in stock which are $1000 off list so I presume they are selling decently..... a lot better than the Pacifica mess. Crossfire ads are $3k off list.

I've seen a lot of them here with Budget rentacar stickers on the rear so they're already doing fleet sales. With the base V-6 it's more of a volume car than the Crossfire and Pacifica, so for now I wouldn't expect huge incentives. Of course that may mean the cachet of the V-8 models is significantly reduced, so you may see bigger incentives on those, especially with the state of gas prices these days.

I wouldn't call the 300 a "medium car" by modern standards. It is a "five-meter" car which is the European standard for a large car. It is lighter than a 545i or E430, both of which are physically smaller inside and out. It doesn't weigh any more than the smaller, V-6 engined Kia Amanti.

Here are the answers: Safety/airbags. Chassis stiffness. Noise, vibration, and harshness. All of these demands require additional weight.

Sure, if you are willing to pay aircraft prices. Have you seen what the new Cessna 172s are selling for?

I am not saying you are wrong... rather I suggest a bit of perspective. Compared to the Expedition or Tahoe that serves as the average family car nowadays in the US, the 300/Magnum is light and efficient. The V6 is there for people who want higher mileage. Do not let the best be the enemy of the good.

I think it's ppbbbbbbbbt although Gary Trudeau seemed to use it a lot in the comics, and he spelled it something like pfffffth. I guess you have to hold your mouth right....

Medium sized car? You do realize it is large than a 1980's Benz S-Class, don't you?

Like, I don't know, dude, whatever, and other ditzy ways of speaking

Really? It is? Any evidence? $2/gallon is not that much.if you look around the world, and there is no gas shortage to warrant rationing. OPEC is actually imcreasing production. Richard
