hello X-posted
1989 dodge/chrysler/mitsubishi colt 200 (series 2000) and i really need help b/c every time i bring it somewhere it gets worse (1.5 liter 4 cyl, fuel injected (MPI) a/t) just had a "valve job" (for collapsed valve lifter following compression test) the mechanic *did* say that the timing and idle were set low (until the valves are broken in???) however, now takes ~ 10 attempts to start... hesitates -- reverse is almost hopeless (stalls) and is using exs fuel and has rich exhaust just wonder whether the timing being retarded could account for the above (only stalls in reverse) NB: it has 70,000 miles, same owners, well maintained never had a problem until starting 1.5 years ago (following a tuneUp :-) any and all advice is greatly appreciated-- toAnswerSend2:userName:tjtmd domain:attglobal.net separate these with the at sign
