1989 mitsubishi colt 4 cylinders; 1.5 liters supposed to be 1-3-4-2 firing order... however looking @ distributor cap (towards car) like the face of a clock and assuming 12:00 is wire 1; 3:00 is wire 2; 6:00 is wire 3; and 9:00 is wire 4 (and assuming on the engine the cylinders go from left to right (1-2-3-4)) if it is NOW wire 1 -> cyl 1; wire 2-> 2; wire 3-> 4; and wire 4 -> 3) this would make it 1-2-4-3??? could this account for exs rich exhaust and some hesitation and rough idling (variable) and using > fuel than it should be. it is starting and running well and i wonder how bad it is to drive it to a chrysler place (miles away) since i have NO IDEA how to remove the spark plug from the cylinder and change it to the proper one unless one just pulls it like an electric cord (even if the distributor cap is read counter clockWise it still seems inCorrect) if the face of the clock analogy is incorrect could someone suggest a Web site with a picture?
