im an older person without much money. my 88 5th. ave. will run, but at any time, it stops as if it runs out of gas. if i wait about a minute it starts up and might not do it again for a day but sometimes a minute later. i had a friend who had the same type car with identical symptoms and he replaced the pump, carb, filter, etc. and it didnt help. ive been in his car many times and saw the problem occur and thats why i beleive mine is the same problem. he did get it repaired but i never found out what the trouble was. i wonder if it could be a common with the 88 318? im afraid to drive it too much cause one day i might get stuck. any advice will be very appeciated. thanks in advance.
