Magnum visibility

Sat in a Magnum today. How the heck do people see out of them. Traffic lights would require ducking and the back.... forget. Anyone here buy one yet?

Spent a week driving one as a rental. LOVED it! visibility is different than the huge greenhouse of an LH car, but is extremely well engineered. Minimal blind spots- the windows are little but they're EXACTLY where they need to be.

Do you always base your decisions on a vehicle by just "sitting" in them without driving them? I am sure YOU do!

I don't "always" do much of anything. Sometimes I do some things and other times I do other things. Do you always criticize people about something you know nothing about? :>)

Where did you find one to rent?

I "always" criticize people that earn it by posting ridiculous statements, but only when I have the opportunity of seeing such folly (I have probably missed many opportunities with you). Obviously you have qualified. And I must admit I used a wrong word in my original reply. Instead of "always" I should have used "usually". As far as something I know nothing about - are you sure?

Nothing and always are usually the wrong answer on a multiple choice exam. Point made.

Rather dull point, but from you superb.

Your point?

I can determine visibility of objects outside of a vehicle by sitting in the vehicle and looking out the windows. It's a simple concept, but I guess some people have the ability to do it, and some people don't.

Yup - you can sure determine the visibilty of those traffic lights that Art has to duck to see while sitting in the Magnum on the showroom floor or on the dealers' lot, can't you??? Give me a break!

I have a red Magnum RT. I absolutely love it!

What is amazing is that the visibility is much better then in most cars I have owned, including my PT Cruiser and my 2002 Durango.

The windows are in the exact spot where you need them.

The webshots link below will take you to picture of my cars if you care.

Determining the visibility of traffic lights? No problem. I've been driving for about 36 years, and by this time know the angle where traffic lights are relative my position in a car, whether I am driving it or just sitting in it. Sorry you are too inexperienced to have that ability yet, or perhaps you just don't have the brain power.

Too bad you live in an area where there are no variables and everything is constant and the same. I am happy that you have such capability to know everything from just where you sit and everything everyplace will always be the same. I never worry about such mundane items as to the angle of just where the traffic light will be as I can always see them from the position in which I stop - and I don't need brain power for that. In your 70+ years on this earth it is comforting to know that you expend such brain power on items like this. I prefer to expend mine on items that have more importance, but next time I go to a dealer and sit in a vehicle I will sit in that drivers seat and ponder the angle of the traffic light and calculate where I must stop to see the light. Wait a minute - traffic lights where I live are set on the opposite side of the intersection so I really don't have to worry about it. Wow - I just saved some more of my undeveloped brain power but I must admit I had to use some of it to respond to your ridiculous post I copied above (wasn't very taxing, though).

Dollar Rent-A-Car at LAX had a number of them and they offered me one when I groaned after being offered a Ford Taurus wagon. This was back in about June, I think- it was literally the first Magnum I'd ever seen.

Dollar and Thrifty both have largely Chrysler products in their fleets. Avis and Hertz have a smattering (mostly minivans) but Avis is mostly GM and Hertz is mostly Ford.

Tsk, tsk, tsk... Such outbursts. Someday perhaps you will be able to determine a vehicle's visibility by sitting in it and looking out the windows. I know that is a difficult concept for you to grasp, but it really is very simple. Hang in there. With hard work you may be able to overcome your disability. Give it some time.

I think you guys got off track. What I was saying is that the Magnum appears invisible.
