Does anyone know how to reload the coil spring on the post for the right side of the trunk lid.The post arm broke off that holds the spring loaded and I was thinking of replacing the post with a nut and bolt but can't find a way of reloading the spring around the post.

much easier to pick up a used assembly at a scrap yard and replace whole thing. got one for 20 bucks and saved a lot of aggravation trying to repair old unit. replacement from dealership is quite expensive
