Saxo Furio

Hi All, I bought a 01 saxo furio last december and it was advertised with remote locking and sure enough came with 1 remote fob and 2 keys. The remote locking didnt seem to workand i thought it was prob the battery, so i got a new one and still nothing, i have tried to recode it as per the citroen manual but this did not work either, so i thought i would check the receiver in the car and have removed the roof console trim as per haynes manual says but the is no receiver there and no wiring either that i can see!!

It does have central locking via the key and this all works fine on the doors and tailgate

So 3 questions, should this model have remote locking as standard?? and if it does where is the receiver unit if its not in the roof?? and how do i know if its a faulty fob or faulty receiver??

I was given a two button fob btw.

Any help much appreciated as i'd really like the remote side towork properly.

TIA

Tim
