'95 EB climate control

My climate control has gone weird -

If it's on 'max AC' I get nice cold air. If it's on 15, 18 or above - I get warm air when the engine is cool, and progressively hotter as it warms up...

Anyone know what the problem is? I've taken the glove box out, the plenum or what-have-you does open and close..

I know there is a sensor, but when I called Ford they didn't seem to think it would be that - they are suggesting replacing the entire 'climate control' unit, which will run easily over $1000 .. yikes!

OK, I think I asked this too fast - I've now found the details for the blend door fix -

However - does this also apply to my Eddie Bauer model with the climate control instead of manual control?

OK, now I'm really in trouble.. I followed the instructions, and removed the ETAC module to see if my blend door is broken - now I'm getting 'clicking' noises from the engine, the interior lights have gone out, and I had to pull the battery cable to be able to power off the truck....

I plugged the module back into power (but not mounted back where it came from) and put the battery lead back on, it started doing the same thing again.. aghghghghgh what have I done?! I checked the fuses best I could, and didn't see anything burnt out..

Dude - one post would have been sufficient. May I suggest some Valium? The

250 mg tablets work wonders.
