What causes a squeal in 99 Explorer XLS when the key is turned off? It does not happen all the time. Its hard to tell inside the vehicle, but it sounds like it is originating from the fuel pump. Temperature does not seem to play a factor. The squeal only lasts for maybe three seconds than it subsides.
