I recently purchased a 2003 Eddie Bauer Explorer. The Message Center display is so dim that it is hard to read in daylight. Is there some way to adjust the brightness of the display. The display on the radio and climate control system is much brighter.

There's no adjustment, but a couple of years ago we had our '02 EB in several times under warranty to repair a problem with the inside lights that come on when you open a door. There were times when you would open one of the doors and the interior lights would not come on. After several visits, the dealer replaced the instrument cluster and the replacement has a much brighter message ctr. By the way, I still have the original problem. wth
