I have a 2002 Eddie Baur Explorer with the fancy message center. When the sun is bright (and my pupils in my eyes are little dots), the message center is too dark to read. When it is overcast or dark, I can see it just fine.
Is there some sort of mechanism that brightens up the message center when the sun is bright? If so, where is it so I can replace it? This is a bummer not being able to read the thing in the daytime.
