Rear Door Panel

No one had any input so here's one way, fyi:

for a 1996 XLT, open the rear window, remove the gasket around the window opening, use a broad screwdriver to pry out the plastic rivets around the top of the plastic molding, there's about 6 of these. Remove the screws holding the inside pull strap, then the screw under the plug around the door lock. Now the plastic panel will slide up and release the hooks that slide into slots at the bottom of the door.

Turns out that the rattle/noise was two items. One the solenoid housing for the electric lock needed some foam rubber to stop it from moving, and, the door stop pads on the door frame (about half way up) needed to be "thicker" to secure the door better. So I used some self adhesive moleskin and now there's no rattles.

thanks.
