i have a 88 mercury colony park wagon.it has a 5.0 v8 with auto. 60.000
mile's ( documented ) it ran great.... and then one day out of no where
it it started losing power and shuddering. i just made it back to my
driveway ( thank god ) and died. now it wont stay started for more the
1-2 seconds, it has fuel pressure ( checked the line ) it has spark (
checked the coil ) it sounds like it wants to stay started but it die's
? any and all help would be greatly appreciated ! i just dont know what
else to check ? thank's.
Fuel squirting from the line does not mean fuel pressure is good.
Besides the MAP sensor, a likely suspect for the symptom is the fuel pressure
regulator. The typical test is to remove the vac line to manifold and see if
it has fuel in it. If it does, it's bad. If it doesnt it still could be
