My 92 Mercury sable 3.8 liter wont stay idling when it is first started. I replaced the cap and rotor, new wires, and plugs. After it warms up it usually will stay running but sometimes stalls at a stop. Any advice.

Start by cleaning the throttle body and IAC. The IAC should be removed and maybe soaked in solvent for a while to free it up. Soak only the valve end - not the motor end. If the IAC is really bad, it may require replacement to return to normal operation.
