02 Explorer XLT V8 Son in law fiddled with the ac controls and now cold air only comes out the defroster holes.

Is there any "easier" way to fix this than pulling the dash out? ouch

This happened some years ago and was fixed under warantee.

I knew what to NOT do to prevent this - son in law didn't.

sounds like you have a vaccume leak in the heater control circut. defrost is the defalt setting. KB
