Heater control valve? in '99 Ford F-150 xlt p/u

Hello,

Either the temperature control switch for climate control is broken or my heater control valve is bad. When you turn it the switch feels like it 'flips over' or kind of like a 'very soft click.' When AC is on it barely cools but the suction line is cold. Vice-versa, when in heating mode it barely gets warm at all.... possibly like the valve is stuck only partially open. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Dave

no heater control valve,,,,, you have a blend air door problem,,,,, maybe a pencil or some foreign object.... its labor intensive to repair, but you can do it yourself ,,,,,, its the disassebly procedure as heater core replacement
