2003 focus clutch

Today I was told by the dealer that under no circumstances is the clutch covered under the car's warranty. the expected life span of a clutch not withstanding. the assumption on the part of the dealer is that the driver has been doing doughnuts, hotrodding or other things to cause the wearing of the clutch. Presumably that applies whether the car (and clutch are 24 hours old or 24 months old.

Fortunately for you, the dealer doesn't make the car or back the warrantee. It's time to ask for a visit from the regional *Ford* manager.

Agree. Clutches wear out with abuse, but don't come apart. But the only way to prove it is to have the thing removed and examined.
