1991 Ford f-150 5.0 auto

Just had the transmission resealed due to a front bearing leak at 120,000. June 2000 at 74,000 the transmission failed and put in a factory rebuild for $2700. This isn't bad durability, but nothing great either. Thoughts?

My '92 Bronco tranny lasted for 173,000 miles before replacement. That included towing a 7500 lb trailer for 4 years and mountain driving. Further, the rebuilt tranny only cost $1800.

That's my thoughts.

I was quoted $2000 for a rebuild and I got the $2700 Ford rebuild. Just asking the group about durability, and your trans seems fine.
