I have a 97 F150 5.4 Super-Cab 111k miles. I would like someone to tell me the step-by-step method, procedure, secrets, or tricks to replace the spark plugs. It appears, it is going to be hell to replace the spark plugs!! Jerry

ok with your engine cold , undo the wire connector to the coil , remove the small bolt holding the coil down ( either 8 mm or 10 mm socket) then remove coil . next insert spark plug socket and extension in to spark plug hole ,you may need different length extensions to do all 8 ...swivel and a swivel head ratchet also helps ...take your time allow a good hr or 2 to do this ...the back 2 are the hardest Have fun oh yea ...P.S....make sure dirt and crap don't fall into the engine when spark plug is out . blowing compressed air around the spark plug before removing is a good plan
