Are All Mecury Mountaineers (2001) 4WD?

Or did they make a 2WD model? And if they did, how would one tell the difference? I believe the Mountaineer is the same as the Explorer.

I'm not sure if Mercury offers a 2WD Mountaineer, but their 4WD is actually an AWD system. (The Explorer offers both 4WD and AWD.)
