Creaking leaf spring 2000 Ff150

Hi all, The driver's side leaf spring on my 2000 F150 is making a creaking sound as it compresses and rebounds. I've sprayed lubricant on and in between the leaves and at the eye bolts several times as best I can but this only seems to help temporarily. I can't seem to locate exactly what is making this noise. I noticed that in between the leaves it looks like there are plastic discs. Maybe one or more has fallen out? Anyone experienced this problem? I am willing to loosen the U bolts and pry the leaves apart to better lubricate with grease if necessary. Thanks in advance for any help. Motorcity

My old ones never did it but I had both sets replaced under warranty due to separation and they were out of alignment. The new one on the drivers side has been squeaking also like you mentioned. I tried a bunch of sprays and etc and it was still there. Dealer was no help and also sprayed his full line of sprays on hand also and no help as it came back. I found a can of Silicone Spray at Lowes that is a pretty thick when it comes out and sprayed the ends of the springs where they mount to truck and also in-between where the plastic discs are awhile back and they have not squeaked since...its been at least 4 mths. It helped to have my buddy bouncing up and down on the back to help work it in while spraying too. I`m up for any permanent solutions also as I`m sure its just a matter of time before it returns. On the other hand maybe this silicone spray finally fixed it....Passenger side has yet to start squeaking

When the driver's side spring on my 98 SC did that, the dealer claimed the bushing were bad and replaced it under warranty. As I remember it had less than 20K on it at the time. Funny thing was, everyone that listened to it thought the noise was coming from the driver's front suspension.
