Where do you get that idea? There is nothing a union can do to stop a company from disciplining and eventually discharging any employee for cause. Union workers can be, and have been, fired for continuing to not report off, coming in late or leaving early, not coming to work, for not doing performing their job properly or when required, fighting on the job or stealing from the company.
