Scanner comparison - Opinions requested

Feb 17, 2005 0 Replies

I have been researching some of the scanners available in the $300-$350 price range and am basically down to the AutoXray EZ Scan 5000 and the Actron Super AutoScanner Kit (CP9150). I need both OBD-I and OBD-II and am leaning toward the AutoXray since the one I am looking at also comes with the EZ-PC 500 software that allows data to be downloaded to the PC and saved/analyzed. Both seem to have similar functionality except the AutoXray seems to have the 29 frame capture mode and the CAN protocol where I do not see these available on the Actron.

Any comments on either product or suggestions for another?

Thanks, Greg
