odd question

My wife who is either 5'1" or 5'2" and thin to normal build sat in a2009 Honda 4 door EX and said she could not reach the gas pedals.According to the sales person, he said that is the 2nd time he heardof this. Apparently the power seats don't get as close to the pedalsas the non-power seats. Can anyone confirm this? I don't recall howfar her feet were from the pedals (she thinks one to two inches) sorather than mess with modifying the seats which the salesperson saidthey can do (I'm leery of this approach for the warrantee and perhapsleakage depending how they do it), I was thinking of a cushion betweenthe seat and her back or one she sits on and supports her back. Doessuch a cushion exist? Any suggestions aside from not getting the 4door EX model?

Check out the Toyota Yaris: a friend who is 4'8" or 4'10" (very short, in other words) is happily driving one now with no modifications that I'm aware of.
