The fuel level indicator on my '98 Amigo varies wildly (1/2 a tank often reads full) and the check engine light is on. Motor runs well, emissions control system is OK, vehicle tuned up recently. Could a faulty fuel level sending unit be violating a code/causing check engine light to be on?
