what (if anything) to be done with transmission?

in the middle of reconditioning (aka. "MTV - Pimp my Ride") two isuzu troopers.. and the question came up on what might be done to the transmissions?

both cars have (92 and 95 trooper) automatic transmission, fluids appears to have been regularly changed (have maintenance records with service dates and details)

rear and front differentials appear to have been drained and changed at least once, maybe 2 times

ATF fluid and diff oils are clear and odorless

what else might be something to check or be aware of? is some level of downshifting noise (ok, not a noise but sounds..) normal?

Low budget: Nothing broken, so put it in, be done with it until something fails.

High budget: Buy a Supercharger and beef up the trans to go with it:

for the Supercharger.

for the Trans work. No point in doing this without the Supercharger, though.

There's not much for medium budget, maybe this thing:
