I have a 1990 XJ6 Sovereign. I bought it in June of this year. There were some known issues with the car. One of which was the need for a new battery. As I was on my way to get the battery, the alternator died. That was in early August. I had both the alternator and battery replaced. Now it looks like the alternator is dieing again. It is under warrenty from the garage that performed the work. I want to know if there are any known issues with this model that could lead to the alternator going bad in such a hurry - (other than it being a typical english electrical system). Any guidence would be very much appreciated.
