I have noticed my soft top is starting to get a "rug burn" from flapping against the top rear edges of the speaker/light bar. I tried stuffing a bag of Styrofoam peanuts between the top and the speaker/light housing. This did not stay put. Any suggestions on how to stop this? I am concerned that over time the top will be rubbed through.

Don't sweat it, Rick, that top is very tough. We pinched ours hard between the windshield frame header and a redwood tree trunk on John Bull trail and abraded it pretty good, but it didn't tear or go all the way through. Our '01 top has been sagging more so over the years, and it rubs everything, but it just gets shiny, not thinner.
You can always get a bikini or a safari top and remove the soft top.
The sag comes from heat and those cheap plastic bow ends deforming. I've though about getting the Sun Performance billet bow ends, but I like the idea of having a "fuse" in there to keep the bows from bending. Let that plastic stuff break first before the bows bend...
Now get out there and get some scratches and dents on your new jeep!

I found this problem when I was putting on my bikini top. Thanks for the insight. I will try your recommendations.

it WILL wear through, mine split in two places because of wear like you describe. after it split, i took the whole thing off, stitched up the two tears, and backed all the wear marks with heavy nylon packcloth strips. just used fabric glue and glued 1in wide strips along all the wear lines. no problems since...
