'96 GC Air Conditioner Woes

We tried the sprinkler trick one year at peach blossom time in Virginia. All we got was frozen peach blossoms. Last time I looked, windmills fired by gasoline engine were pretty popular. It seems there is often a layer of warm air, just above the orchard in the early morning.

Things have come a long way since funeral home ambulance services, but they have a long way to go yet. You should be proud to live in Kalifornia. They police their own, and clean house when necessary. You are probably justified in saying that your paramedics are "heroes", but only because the bad apples have been removed from the barrel. And this is due in large part to funds voted by your bleeding heart liberal politicians, and your state government that many think is over regulated and top heavy.

In Colorado we have an address where we can send complaints, and a guy who reads them, but that is as far as it goes. There is no money for investigation or prosecution of wrong doers, and employers are not even required, to report to the EMS division, when they discipline a paramedic for misconduct. Maybe the EMS division will cancel your certificate, if you are convicted of a felony, and you voluntarily check the box for that on your reapplication.

There is a "blue wall" of silence too, that acts to protect wrong doers, just as there is in police and fire. Just like on the cop shows.

Don't worry though. Statistics is on your side. The vast majority of these guys are honest, genuinely want to help, and don't try to play God on the ambulance. That's not true in Silverton though.

Blame the lawyers, and the fact that your Board of Medical Examiners has money to investigate complaints. Those doctors were scared to death to do the wrong thing, or to be accused of doing so.
